Located in San Francisco, California, sfclayworks is a group ceramics studio established in 2011. sfclayworks grew out of the closure of the long established, and well respected San Francisco art space, The Clay Studio, which was headed by their friend John DeLois.

Needing a new place to continue making their art, a number of The Clay Studio artists who are passionate about working with clay decided to establish their own studio so that they could continue to pursue their love of the ceramic arts.

sfclayworks is a 2800 sq ft facility located in the south east section of San Francisco at 2240 Palou Avenue. sfclayworks is located near both the 101 and 280 freeways and has ample parking. sfclayworks is also accessible by a number of different Muni bus lines. sfclayworks is comprised of private studio spaces, open studio work space, and also offers new sessions of beginning and continuing pottery classes every eight weeks. In the future we also hope to have a gallery where the public can experience some of the art work being created by the artists who work here.

We started out with only electric kilns and on of Feb 23, 2012 our gas kiln arrived-now we need to make enough work to fill it so we can fire it up.
