Nina Saltman

Nina Saltman is one of the founding members of sfclayworks. She took her first clay class at The Clay Studio ( SF -now defunct) in 1990 and was immediately hooked. While working full time as a tradeswoman /construction carpenter, superintendent, and later as a project manager/construction manager, her ceramics work became more and more important to her. In addition to her weekly classes at The Clay Studio, she took workshops with several different professional ceramicists. Since her first clay class she has developed her style and honed her technique. Her love of the materials as well as the process keeps her work dynamic and fun.

Since her retirement from construction, she has had more time to focus on her ceramics and the business of sfclayworks. In addition to making pots, she loves to walk, garden, cook and hike.
